Shearman & Sterling advised GB Finance on its joint sale with GAIA of a one-third stake in MNT investments to the second fund of Development Partners International (DPI), a leading African focused private equity firm, for an aggregate amount of EGP 750 million. MNT investments is the main shareholder in Microfinance Consulting Services (Mashroey) and Tasaheel Microfinance Company S.A.E (Tasaheel).

Mashroey, founded in 2009, offers financing options to micro-entrepreneurs for the purchase of utility vehicles. Tasaheel, founded in 2015, provides direct microfinance lending to eligible clients, with a focus on group loans to skilled working women.
