Shearman & Sterling Welcomes New Partner to Private Client Team

Shearman & Sterling is delighted to announce that partner Anna Salek joins the firm today. She will be based in the firm’s New York office.

Anna will be responsible for building on the success of our Private Client practice, advising high-net-worth individuals, family offices and foundations, both in the United States and across the globe. Her broad-based practice is focused primarily on representing high-net-worth individuals and their family offices and foundations on trusts and estates and tax planning matters.

The addition of Anna complements our Family Office Initiative and her experience will enable us to guide these investors through decisions related to their investment portfolios, real estate holdings, estate and tax planning and succession issues.

“We are excited to strengthen our Private Client team with the addition of Anna,” said David Beveridge, Shearman & Sterling’s Senior Partner. “Anna is a welcome addition to the practice and our firm’s Family Office Initiative, allowing us to guide high-net-worth individuals and family offices through decisions related to their estate and tax planning.”

Shearman & Sterling’s Private Client practice draws on a multidisciplinary team of lawyers dedicated to serving the unique needs of family offices and family businesses, while also representing clients in corporate, regulatory, real estate, tax and litigation matters.

Anna joins the firm from Kirkland & Ellis where she was a partner in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group in New York and was previously at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
