Adam Hakki Named Securities Lawyer of the Year by Benchmark Litigation

Adam Hakki, the firm’s Global Managing Partner and Global Head of Disputes, has been named the sole “Securities Lawyer of the Year” for the United States by Benchmark Litigation, the leading litigation and disputes-specific directory.  Adam has won this award in three of the last four years, and for two consecutive years.  Benchmark selected Adam based on his many significant courtroom victories in the last year, his preeminent reputation in securities litigation and his status as a go-to lawyer for a broad swath of the world’s leading companies, especially financial institutions and asset managers, for securities and antitrust litigation and investigations.

“It is truly an honor to have been again recognized for this award,” Adam said.  “I think of it entirely as a team recognition – on every case and investigation I partner extensively with exceptionally talented Shearman and in-house client colleagues in service of our clients.”

Benchmark Litigation exclusively covers the litigation and disputes market in North America, encompassing the United States, Canada and Mexico. The winners are chosen based upon research conducted between March and November 2018, including extensive interviews with litigators and their clients to identify the best attorneys in their respective practice areas and states.
