Shearman & Sterling is advising Chevron on the antitrust elements of its agreement to acquire Anadarko Petroleum. This acquisition will combine the second-largest U.S. oil and gas company with one of the country’s leading independent producers. The total enterprise value of the transaction is $50 billion.
