The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), in partnership with the state court system, has appointed Saralyn Cohen, the firm’s Pro Bono Counsel & Director, Global CSR, to its COVID-19 Recovery Task Force. The members of the blue ribbon Task Force will oversee the pro bono network of lawyers who will assist New Yorkers suffering from the pandemic. The group will prioritize the dispatching of lawyers to the high-need areas identified by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, including assisting jobless workers in applications for unemployment benefits, victims of domestic violence, and victims of housing discrimination. The Task Force will also focus on setting priorities, recruiting lawyers, coordinating resources and connecting lawyers and clients.
