Global law firm Shearman & Sterling today announces the election of Richard Porter as a Mergers & Acquisitions partner. Richard will relocate from London to Singapore. 

Richard has extensive experience advising clients on a wide range of cross-border corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity issues and restructurings.

Richard's promotion to partner follows the announcement of 14 new partners in July.  Shearman & Sterling also has continued to expand core practice areas with 17 lateral hires globally since January.
