Jieni Ji is a counsel in the Litigation practice. Her practice focuses on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance, internal investigations, governmental enforcement actions, data protection, complex cross-border commercial litigations, and economic sanctions. Jieni regularly counsels clients on inquiries and investigations initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Serious Fraud Office (SFO).

Jieni is one of the few first U.S.-qualified attorneys in Asia representing global corporations in compliance matters, corporate investigations and cross-border litigations. A native Mandarin speaker with significant international experience, her practice combines an in-depth knowledge of the law with a keen understanding of the latest enforcement trends and business conditions in Asia to provide effective legal and strategic counselling to clients.

She has advised clients on numerous high-profile investigations and litigations of many “firsts,” which received wide media coverage. She has handled hundreds of compliance investigations and conducted over 1,000 interviews across Asia, including Greater China, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. Jieni also has extensive experience advising many clients on launching and implementing their first comprehensive compliance programs in China and Greater Asia. In addition to regulatory compliance matters, Jieni has also advised clients on complex U.S. litigations.

She has represented many of the most prominent multinational companies and leading Chinese companies in various sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, energy, financial, industrial and automobile.
