So far parties to an arbitration have been dependent on state courts when they were seeking provisional legal remedies before the arbitral tribunal had been constituted. In the last years several arbitration institutions reacted to this gap in arbitral legal protection by introducing provisions on emergency arbitrators. The attachment will provide an overview of provisions on the institution of the emergency arbitrator in leading rules of arbitration.
