Partner Bjorn Bjerke (New York-Finance) and counsel Azad Ali (London-Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory) co-authored a chapter titled “Securitizations in the Shadows of the New Capital Regime,” published in The International Comparative Legal Guide to Securitization 2014. The chapter examines some of the key elements of the securitization framework under the Basel standards, including revised standards currently being proposed by the Basel Committee, particularly in the context of securitization as a viable financing technique to efficiently manage bank balance sheets.
