Shearman & Sterling Of Counsel Mark Kessel (New York-Capital Markets) and Senior Manager Bhavana Rana (New York-Business Development), along with Catharina Boehme, CEO of FIND, co-authored an article titled “How to Fix Tuberculosis R&D — The Community Speaks.” The article was published in Nature Biotechnology on March 1, 2019. The authors address the main factors impeding private sector investment and propose solutions to incentivize greater engagement, based on interviews with key stakeholders from pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies, as well as donor and research organizations.
