Partner Barney Reynolds (London-Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory) spoke on the CSFI webinar “The City post-Brexit: A Discussion of Global Britain with Barney Reynolds (Shearman & Sterling), Michael Wainwright (Dentons) and James Sproule (Handelsbanken)” on July 8, 2021. The webinar discussed Barney’s latest review on the Treasury’s strategy paper on MIFID 2, the proposed review of the prospectus regime (post-Hill Review) and the latest Treasury paper on Solvency 2. It also included a discussion on whether the U.K. should open up to more cryptocurrencies in the wake of the crackdown on Binance.
