HKVCA Asia Private Equity Forum 2017

  • Hong Kong
Partner Lorna Chen (Hong Kong-Asset Management), head of the asset management and investment funds practice in Asia, is moderated a panel discussion, “Fundraising and Investor Relations,” at the HKVCA Asia Private Equity Forum in Hong Kong. In addition to the outlook for 2017 fundraising marketing, Chen and the panelists addressed what kind of LPs an Asian GP should be looking for in the market, the reasons for using a placement agent, challenges Asian GPs face when dealing with LPs, as well as the function and value-add of an IR team.

The forum featured more than 80 speakers and panelists representing limited partners, investors, advisors and consultants. These leading industry practitioners addressed key issues facing investors in Asia’s private markets, including those of China, India, Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea, as well as such topics as co-investments, fundraising and investor relations, private debt, private equity, real estate, secondaries, value creation and venture capital.

The Asia Private Equity Forum is organized annually by the Hong Kong Venture Capital & Private Equity Association and forms part of the Hong Kong government’s International Financial Week, which includes the Asian Financial Forum.
