Partner Doreen Lilienfeld (New York-Compensation, Governance & ERISA), Global Governance & Advisory Practice Group Leader, participated on the “Global Equity Grants for Employees in Multiple Jurisdictions” panel  at the CBA/ABA/IPEBLA Global Pension and Employee Benefits Lawyers Conference in Boston on June 12, 2018. 

This panel discussion focused on equity plan terms and design features, particularly those relating to securities and tax implications on awards, applicable to private and public company plans in the U.K., the U.S. and Canada. The panelists also discussed common terms and features to watch out for in the relevant jurisdictions that may be of particular interest for those who are providing equity grants to employees outside of the issuer’s resident jurisdiction.
