Partner Kenneth Laverriere (New York-Compensation, Governance & ERISA) spoke to the New York Chapter of the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network (WEB) on October 25, alongside Shade J. Stroud of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP. The presentation addressed changes in the application of Section 162(M) following amendment by the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA). They included a number of practical examples with a focus on alterations to the grandfather rule and the definition of  “covered employee” to educate the group of lawyers and employee benefit professionals about the implications of the Act in their work.
