Asia Regional Managing Partner and Head of Greater China Lorna Chen and counsel Anil Motwani presented at a webinar titled “U.S. SEC Proposal Targeting Private Fund Advisers – a Potential Game-Changer”, co-hosted by Shearman & Sterling and the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association on March 31, 2022.  

The webinar focused on the new rules proposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in February 2022 which, if adopted, would have a sweeping impact on private fund advisers and the investment funds they manage and significantly affect investors’ business practices as well.
