The Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), the leading industry association for the blockchain technology ecosystem, hosted its 5th Annual Blockchain Central UNGA on September 20, 2022 alongside the UN General Assembly as an official partner of the UN Foundation’s Global Goals Week. Blockchain Central UNGA convened leaders in technology, government, academia, and policy for a variety of programming to examine how we can empower blockchain powered solutions to accelerate progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Shearman & Sterling Partner and Global Head of Finance and FinTech, Donna Parisi, moderated a fireside chat with New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) Superintendent Adrienne Harris entitled In Discussion: Governance in the Digital. Donna Parisi was recently elected to GBBC’s Board of Directors.
