Shearman & Sterling Hosts Legal Training Session for First Time Issuers in Program Organized by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking

Shearman & Sterling’s Capital Markets-Latin America team hosted a legal training session for first time issuers, in a program organized by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking.

The session, held in Shearman & Sterling’s New York offices, featured Capital Markets partner Alejandro Gordano and members of the firm’s Americas Capital Markets team leading a legal seminar for the senior leadership of several Latin American corporates selected by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking from Argentina, the Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Mexico.

Discussion focused on the key aspects of bond process and documentation to help guide Latin American corporates entering the US debt capital markets for the first time. The program included another two days held in Santander Corporate & Investment Banking’s New York offices.

The Shearman & Sterling team presented on topics that ranged from bond covenants to the latest in ESG considerations, showcasing the firm’s experience advising clients as they access U.S. markets.

In addition to Alejandro Gordano, attorneys participating in the session included Capital Markets Of Counsel Antonia Stolper, Capital Markets partners Roberta Cherman and Ryan Robski, Capital Markets associate Gonzalo Robles and Capital Markets foreign attorney Moises Gonzalez.
