Shearman & Sterling was ranked among the top law firms in the country, according to the 16th annual “America’s Best Corporate Law Firms” surveys led by NYSE Governance Services, a provider of corporate governance, risk, ethics and compliance services for public and privately held companies, and FTI Consulting, a global business advisory firm. 

Conducted from December 2015 to April 2016, the two surveys solicited the opinions of nearly 700 US corporate directors and general counsel of publicly traded companies, who were asked to select the firms of national scope and reputation they would most likely retain to handle a variety of corporate legal matters. Shearman & Sterling was ranked in the top 10 in the corporate directors survey and was among the top law firms in the general counsel survey.
