Shearman & Sterling was recognized with three “Deal of the Year” awards for its work on two high-profile transactions in Japan at the ALB Japan Law Awards 2020.

The firm won “Technology, Media and Telecommunications Deal of the Year” and “M&A Deal of the Year (Premium)” for its work in advising LINE Corporation on the business integration of Z Holdings and LINE. The firm also won “Equity Market Deal of the Year” for advising Mizuho Bank, Ltd. as a selling shareholder on the $2.6 billion Rule 144A/Regulation S international offering of common stock of Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd.
