Shearman & Sterling partner Mark Chorazak was named among the top FinTech lawyers in the United States by Business Insider. “The top 11 lawyers helping big-name fintechs like Plaid, Coinbase, and Square go public, raise rounds, and cut deals in the United States” highlights Chorazak’s work with both early stage FinTech companies and large institutional clients.

Chorazak is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s financial institutions advisory and financial regulatory practice. He recently helped Plaid with its FinRise incubator program for early stage investors from minority backgrounds. Chorazak provides legal advice and mentoring to up-and-coming fintech startups such as Guidefi and Zeta. Chorazak also advised Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, in its $11 billion acquisition of the mortgage-software firm Ellie Mae—one of the biggest fintech M&A deals of 2020.
