Shearman & Sterling was listed as one of the top law firms for mergers and acquisitions transactions in Texas for the first six months of 2022, according to The Texas Lawbook’s Corporate Deal Tracker database. The firm’s Texas lawyers were involved in 30 M&A transactions with a combined deal value of $5.1 billion. Shearman & Sterling was also listed sixth by deal count for the second year in a row.

This continues to be a very active M&A period for the firm, following the strong numbers Shearman & Sterling’s Texas lawyers achieved in 2021: 74 M&A transactions, with a combined deal value of $74.2 billion.
