Anna Chung, Head of the firm’s Seoul office, was elected as the first female President of the Foreign Law Firm Association of Korea (FLA) at its annual board meeting on October 6, 2022 for a two year term. Prior to her appointment, Anna was the co-chair of the Welfare & Social Responsibility Committee and auditor to the Board of FLA.

“I am honored to be appointed President of the FLA. I look forward to working closely with the other members of the leadership team to be of service to our members and contribute to the local legal community,” Anna commented.

Anna has been consistently recognized a leading lawyer in South Korea by legal publications such as Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500-Pacific, Asia Business Law Journal and IFLR1000. She was also named “Project Finance Lawyer of the Year” at the Euromoney Legal Media Group Women in Business Law Asia Awards 2021.  Chambers Asia-Pacific 2023 comments “Anna Chung is highly coveted for her deep expertise in international projects, frequently advising marquee lenders and sponsors on matters of development, financing and refinancing.”

The FLA was founded in 2014 and its membership consists of 28 law firms from Australia, China, the United Kingdom, and the United States that maintain a foreign legal consultant office in Seoul.
