Frederick has extensive knowledge advising clients on energy projects across Europe, Africa and the Middle East and is a core part of the Energy Innovation and Global Hydrogen / Ammonia Industry teams. Frederick has also published numerous articles on Energy Innovation matters, including on multiple aspects of European regulation relevant to Energy Innovation and Hydrogen projects, and has become recognised as an active thought leader in the space.

- NEOM Company, Saudi Arabia’s new city gigaproject development company, on a $6.5 billion green energy joint venture with ACWA Power and Air Products that will incorporate the region’s largest wind and solar renewables production projects (4GW in total), as well as a ground-breaking green hydrogen / green ammonia export project. Awarded Green Project of the Year at the Global Hydrogen Summit, 2021
- Fortescue Future Industries on a transaction with E.ON for the sale of up to 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen per year, and numerous other mandates
- JERA on its program to import clean ammonia to Japan for co-firing in thermal power plants to decarbonise the Japanese electricity system
- Uniper on offtake from the Hyport Duqm Green Ammonia Project in Oman
- EverWind Fuels, a company established by the co-founder of Stonepeak Investment Partners, on Canada’s first green hydrogen / ammonia export megaproject, in Nova Scotia
