European Antitrust Team Authors Chapters for ICLG: Cartels & Leniency 2020

Partners Matthew Readings (London-Antitrust) and Elvira Aliende Rodriguez (Brussels-Antitrust); counsel Mathias Stöcker (Frankfurt-Antitrust); and associates Agostino Bignardi (Brussels-Antitrust) and Simon Thexton (London-Antitrust) authored various chapters of the International Comparative Legal Guide to: Cartels & Leniency 2020. As well as authoring various chapters, Matthew and Elvira were also contributing editors for the 2020 edition.

Elvira authored the chapter titled “Cartel Updates: Recent Trends in Fine Calculations, Hybrid Settlement Procedures and Judicial Review at EU Level,” with assistance from associate Patricia Sanchez Calero-Barco (Brussels-Antitrust), as well as the chapter on “European Union,” with assistance from Patricia Sanchez-Calero Barco (Brussels-Antitrust) and Ruba Noorali (London-Antitrust). Mathias authored the chapter on “Germany,” Elvira and Agostino authored the chapter on “Italy,” and Matthew and Simon authored the chapter on “United Kingdom."

The publication provides corporate counsel and international practitioners with comprehensive jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction guidance to cartels & leniency laws and regulations around the world.  Three general chapters cover trends, decisions and judgments in recent cartels cases, while the question and answer chapters, which cover 29 jurisdictions in this edition, provide detailed answers to common questions raised by professionals dealing with cartels & leniency laws and regulations.
