An Expansive Future – A Proposed Merger with Allen & Overy

We’re on an exciting journey to create an even stronger offering for our clients and our people: In May 2023, we announced our proposed merger with Allen & Overy, with the intention of becoming a new global leader named Allen Overy Shearman Sterling, A&O Shearman for short. The proposed merger is subject to customary closing conditions, including a vote of the Partners of each of the respective firms.
