Partner George Casey, head of the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group, (New York – Mergers & Acquisitions) hosted a panel on Cross-border M&A at Transaction Advisors’ 2016 Chicago M&A Conference on September 29, 2016 at The University of Chicago Gleacher Center. Mr. Casey led the discussion of the current issues associated with the planning, negotiation and execution of cross-border transactions. The panel delved into such topics as the variations in deal structures and terms and conditions, cultural and ethical differences, dealing with shareholders and other constituencies, challenges associated with securing regulatory approvals in different jurisdictions, and a review of certain "best in class" practices.
