Shearman & Sterling advised the management of All3Media on the £550 million ($927 million) sale of the business by Permira to Discovery Communications and Liberty Global. 

All3Media was formed in 2003 by Steve Morrison, David Liddiment and Jules Burns, after they bought Chrysalis' TV business for £45 million with backing from Bridgepoint. In 2006, Bridgepoint sold the business for £320 million to Permira. All3Media is the largest independent production group in the U.K. Headquartered in London, it also has a strong presence in the US, Germany, the Netherlands and New Zealand, and has 26 creative centers in the world’s largest TV-producing markets.

Recently, Shearman & Sterling advised senior management teams on the sale of 50 per cent of Hastings Insurance (October 2013) and the sale of Mergermarket (November 2013).
