Shearman & Sterling Advises on Metalúrgica Gerdau’s Rule 144A/Regulation S Offering of Common and Preferred Shares

Shearman & Sterling represented BTG Pactual US Capital LLC, Itau BBA USA Securities Inc., Bradesco Securities Inc. and Banco do Brasil Securities LLC as international placement agents in connection with the approximately US$239 million Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of common and preferred shares of Metalúrgica Gerdau, the holding company of Gerdau S.A. Gerdau S.A. is Brazil's largest producer of long, rolled steel, the leading manufacturer of long steel in North and South America, and holds significant market share in the steel industries of almost all countries where it operates.
