Shearman & Sterling received the Asia Pacific Mining Deal of the Year from Project Finance International (PFI) for its work on the Oyu Tolgoi copper and gold project in Mongolia — one of the largest mining lending deals in 2015. The firm recently received the Americas Transportation Deal of the Year from PFI as well for its work on the debt financing for IFM Investors’ acquisition of the Indiana Toll Road. The PFI Awards honor achievement and ingenuity in the global project finance market.
