Shearman & Sterling Announces Seven Counsel Promotions

Shearman & Sterling has promoted seven lawyers to counsel in six practice areas and three of its offices across the United States and Asia. The promotions span the Capital Markets, Derivatives & Structured Products, Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Project Development & Finance and Real Estate practices and are effective as of March 1, 2018.

“Our newly promoted counsel are comprised of exceptional lawyers with unique backgrounds, experience and abilities,” said Dave Beveridge, Shearman & Sterling’s senior partner. “They all share a history of providing outstanding client service and legal expertise, which I am certain they will continue to demonstrate.

The following lawyers were promoted:

Rupa Briggs is a member of the Capital Markets-Americas practice in New York. She received a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and an A.B, magna cum laude, from Princeton University.

Kerri Durso is a member of the Derivatives & Structured Products practice in New York. She received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Pace University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from Villanova University.

Tomasz Kulawik is a member of the Finance practice in Washington, DC and New York. He received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his M.A. from Warsaw University.

Devin Lei is a member of the Project Development & Finance practice in Washington, DC. He received his J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his B.A. and B.A.S from the University of Pennsylvania.

Christian Pugaczewski is a member of the Derivatives & Structured Products practice in New York. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law.

Jocelyn B. Redman is a member of the Real Estate practice in Washington, DC and New York. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from American University Washington College of Law and her B.A. from Pomona College.

Barbara Zylberg is a member of the Finance practice in New York. She received her LL.M from New York University School of Law and her LL.B., cum laude, from Bar-Ilan University.
