Shearman & Sterling is pleased to announce the arrival of Simon Dodds as Of Counsel in the Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory practice.
Simon was previously co-general counsel at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for legal services globally. He will be based in the London office.
"We are excited to welcome Simon to the firm. He brings extensive expertise to our renowned Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory practice," said Shearman & Sterling Senior Partner David Beveridge. “Simon is the latest in a number of recent additions to our growing global offering.”
Barney Reynolds, who leads Shearman & Sterling’s global Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory practice, added: “We are very pleased to have someone of Simon’s caliber join the firm. His knowledge and practice is perfectly aligned with ours, and his insight will greatly benefit our clients."
Simon Dodds commented: “I am delighted to be joining such a well-regarded and talented team at Shearman & Sterling. It is a very interesting time for financial institutions, and I am looking forward to assisting clients in navigating this complex environment.”
Simon is one of several recent appointments by Shearman & Sterling, including partner Ward McKimm who rejoined the London office of the firm in July.
