Global law firm Shearman & Sterling today announces that Maegen Morrison has joined the firm as a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) partner in London.
Maegen advises on corporate finance transactions for listed companies, financial sponsors, financial advisers and large private companies. She has extensive expertise advising companies on public and private M&A and issuers and underwriters in IPOs, restructurings and acquisition financings.
“Maegen’s corporate, private capital and financial institutions expertise bolsters our English law M&A capabilities, reinforcing our strong global platform,” said David Beveridge, Senior Partner at Shearman & Sterling. “Maegen’s appointment is part of the continued expansion of our M&A practice globally and complements our growing restructuring offering. This is a key component of our long-term strategy focused on expanding core practice areas with the greatest potential for growth.”
Maegen Morrison added: “I am thrilled to be joining such a well-regarded global M&A group. I look forward to working with the London team to support clients in the execution of their most strategically important and complex public and private M&A deals, throughout Europe and beyond.”
Shearman & Sterling has continued to expand core practice areas with 25 lateral hires globally (including Maegen) since January 2021. Shearman & Sterling significantly increased its corporate offering in Europe last year with the hire of Xavier Norlain’s team in Paris and Florian Harder and Jann Jetter in Munich. Maegen’s hire is part of the ongoing expansion of our London M&A offering.
