Shearman & Sterling represented the underwriters in connection with Nucor Corporation’s offering of $1.1 billion aggregate principal amount of its notes.
BofA Securities, J.P. Morgan, Wells Fargo Securities, Deutsche Bank Securities, RBC Capital Markets and US Bancorp acted as joint book-running managers in connection with the offering. The notes were issued in two tranches, with maturities of ten and thirty years. The proceeds from the offering will be used to repay Nucor’s existing notes as well as for general corporate purposes.
Nucor is a leading U.S. manufacturer of steel and steel products. The company’s operations include international trading and sales companies that buy and sell steel and steel products manufactured by the company and others. Nucor is North America’s largest recycler, using scrap steel as the primary raw material in producing steel and steel products.
