Shearman & Sterling  acted as lead legal counsel to J.F. Lehman & Company (JFLCO) in its agreement to sell Lone Star Disposal (Lone Star) to Waste Connections US Holdings (Waste Connections).

Lone Star provides waste management and disposal services throughout Texas, including landfill operations, municipal solid waste disposal, construction and demolition services, and recycling services.

JFLCO is a leading middle-market private equity firm focused exclusively on the aerospace, defense, maritime, government and environmental sectors.

Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides non-hazardous waste collection, transfer and disposal services, along with resource recovery primarily through recycling and renewable fuels generation.
