Lorenz Haselberger, Partner in Shearman & Sterling’s tax practice, has been appointed Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Financial Institutions and Products Committee.

The ABA Financial Institutions and Products Committee is a professional organization that focuses on the tax issues affecting financial institutions and their products. The committee organizes conferences and other educational events to provide its members with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Haselberger is a tax generalist whose practice focuses on the taxation of financial institutions and instruments, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, inbound investments, capital markets offerings and debt restructurings. He regularly advises major financial institutions, sovereign investors, hedge funds, private equity funds and domestic and multinational companies.
