Shearman & Sterling Represented the Initial Purchasers on Kinross’ $500 Million Senior Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented BofA Securities, Morgan Stanley, RBC Capital Markets, BMO Capital Markets, MUFG, Scotiabank and TD Securities, as joint bookrunning managers, and CIBC Capital Markets, HSBC, National Bank of Canada Financial Markets, Citigroup, ING, Standard Chartered Bank, Beacon Securities Limited, Canaccord Genuity and Stifel, as co-managers, in connection with a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering by Kinross Gold Corporation of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 6.250% Senior Notes due 2033. Net proceeds from the offering will be used to redeem all of Kinross’ outstanding 5.95% Senior Notes due 2024.

Kinross is a Canadian-based senior gold mining company with operations and projects in the United States, Brazil, Mauritania, Chile and Canada. Kinross maintains listings on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: K) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: KGC).
