Shearman & Sterling’s Antonia Stolper to Moderate Panel at Vance Center Rule-of-Law Conference in South Africa

Shearman & Sterling Capital Markets Of Counsel Antonia Stolper will moderate a panel at the Vance Center’s 20th Anniversary Conference “The Lawyer as Rule-of-Law Activist: Activating the Next Generation” to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, October 11–13.

Antonia will co-moderate a panel entitled “Legal Practitioners: Securing the Rule of Law and Combatting Corruption.” Clifford Chance Energy & Infrastructure attorney Ope Osinubi will serve as co-moderator.

The Lawyer as Rule-of-Law Activist conference celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice as well as the African Legal Fellows Program. The conference is being co-sponsored by the South African Legal Fellows Network.

This three-day event will recognize the Vance Center’s work beginning in South Africa to support pro bono practices and a more diverse, inclusive legal profession in sub-Saharan Africa. The event will include distinguished keynote speakers from the South African and international legal fields, panel discussions on key issues for African legal practitioners as well as in-person visits to law firms and legal institutions.
