Shearman & Sterling received 45 recommendations in the 2024 edition of Legalease’s The Legal 500 UK, with 19 practice rankings and 26 individual recognitions.

Legal 500 UK named two Shearman & Sterling partners, Barney Reynolds and Ward McKimm, to its Hall of Fame in Financial Services: Non-Contentious/Regulatory and Finance: High Yield, respectively. The Hall of Fame recognizes lawyers who are widely regarded as being at the very top of the profession and have been ranked as “Leading Individuals” by The Legal 500 for at least eight of the last ten years. In addition, five partners were recognized as “Leading Individuals” including Trevor Ingram, Thomas Donegan, Pawel Szaja, John Adams and Matthew Readings. Partners Kevin Heverin, Sara Couling, Pawel Szaja, Gordon Houseman and Nick Withers were ranked as “Next Generation Partners” and senior associate Evangelia Andronikou was listed as a “Rising Star”.

These rankings reflect the result of months of extensive analysis by The Legal 500 UK research team, who conduct thousands of interviews with private practice lawyers and read through tens of thousands of submissions in order to select the very best lawyers and law firms in the UK.
