Shearman & Sterling Represents Hitachi Energy in its Acquisition of eks Energy

Shearman & Sterling represented Hitachi Energy, a global technology leader that is advancing a sustainable energy future, in its acquisition of a controlling stake in eks Energy, a leading supplier of power electronics and energy management solutions for storage and renewables integration based in Seville, Spain.

The transaction was announced on Oct. 24 in a press release. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Hitachi Energy employs around 40,000 people in 90 countries and generates business volumes of over $10 billion.
