As Co-Executive Director & Chief Commercial Officer at Shearman & Sterling, Robert is deeply focused on development of the firm’s strategy, lateral partner recruiting, client development and revenue generation. He is an integral member of the teams supporting the firm’s largest clients and will frequently lead pricing negotiations on both the buy and sell side.

Robert brings over 25 years of global experience in the finance industry, having worked as Head of Global Research and Investments and the Trust and Advisory Businesses for Barclays and Chief Operating Officer in Global Financial Markets for ABN AMRO.

Robert has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Cambridge University and a B.Sc. in Physics with Solid State Electronics from Exeter University.
