Gregory Gewirtz is counsel in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice.
Gregory has broad experience advising on public and private mergers and acquisitions, including carve-outs, divestitures, reorganizations, minority investments, joint ventures, and financial advisory assignments.
Gregory’s experience includes a secondment with The Dow Chemical Company’s corporate and financial law department in Midland, Michigan during the first half of 2013, and a rotation to the Hong Kong Mergers & Acquisitions practice from June 2017 to June 2018.

- Dow Chemical in numerous transactions, including in its $130 billion transaction with DuPont involving the combination of the two companies, the subsequent separation into three public companies and the resulting $50 billion spin-off of Dow Inc., its $5 billion Reverse Morris Trust transaction with Olin involving Dow’s chlor-alkali and derivatives business, matters relating to its $17.4 billion K-Dow joint venture with PIC, its $4.8 billion strategic ownership restructuring of Dow Corning, its $1.5 billion sale of its MEGlobal joint venture interest to EQUATE, its $1.63 billion sale of Trinseo to Bain Capital, its sale of its global polypropylene business to Braskem, its sale of its interest in Nippon Unicar to the Tonen Group, its sale of its acid copolymers and ionomers business to SK Global Chemical Co., its sale of its extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) business and its sale of its German S/A Latex business

- Dover in numerous transactions, including in its acquisition of FW Murphy Production Controls and its acquisition of Espy Corporation
- KMG Chemicals in its $1.6 billion sale to Cabot Microelectronics
- SPX Technologies in its divestiture of subsidiaries holding asbestos liabilities and related assets to a joint venture of Global Risk Capital and Premia Holdings and its related Section 251(g) reorganization
- Sasol in its sale of its 50% membership interest in its HDPE joint venture to INEOS
- The Chefs’ Warehouse in numerous transactions, including its acquisition of Chef Middle East and its acquisition of Greenleaf Produce
- Industrias Bachoco in numerous transactions, including in a tender offer by Edificio Del Noroeste for Industrias Bachoco’s Series B shares and NYSE-listed ADSs
- Oil Search in connection with its business combination with Santos pursuant to a Papua New Guinea scheme of arrangement

- Temasek Holdings in its investment in Tencent Music Entertainment
- China Investment Corporation in its co-investment with Sycamore Partners in the take-private of Staples
