Overview
Jonathan Y. Newman, partner in the Real Estate practice, has extensive experience in real estate fund and co-investment fund formations, LP investments into funds, acquisitions and dispositions, joint venture formations, commercial leasing, ground leasing and financing transactions, including mortgage, mezzanine, and construction financings. He represents sponsors, developers, lenders and borrowers in the investment, ownership and development of real estate. Mr. Newman has particular expertise in representing landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions, as well as sponsors in multifamily and commercial property acquisitions and dispositions across the country. Mr. Newman is also an expert in Shariah-compliant investment structuring for U.S. real estate investments.
