RULES FOR THE REGULATORS – REGULATING FINANCIAL SERVICES AFTER BREXIT

Partner Barnabas (Barney) Reynolds (London Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory) is pleased to announce his new book entitled Rules for the Regulators – Regulating Financial Services After Brexit (published with Politeia).

The book explores the problems that the UK’s current system faces, resulting from a reliance on the EU’s code-based approach to law and the resulting overuse by the UK’s regulators of vague rules known as Principles. Barney considers the impact and legal uncertainty that this creates, and how the system could now be optimised.

Barney has also authored Restoring UK Law: Freeing the UK’s Global Financial Market (2021) and co-authored The Lawyers Advise: UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement – Unfinished Business? (2021).
