Global Managing Partner George Casey served as Contributing Editor and led the Chambers’ Technology M&A Practice Guide for a second year, overseeing the work of numerous attorneys in different countries in compiling a comprehensive overview of an industry that is driving innovation across numerous sectors and regions of the global economy.
The Chambers Technology M&A Practice Guide 2023 analyzes critical market trends within the technology industry in addition to offering thorough discussions by country of how startups are formed, how they get early-stage financing, venture capital financing (including state-sponsored) available for young tech companies, liquidity events, spin-offs, the acquisition of public companies and business critical regulatory concerns.
As the firm’s global managing partner and former head of the mergers & acquisitions practice and the corporate business unit, George wrote the Overview and Introduction of the guide, leveraging his years of experience to consider key drivers in the industry, the potential for different types of transactions over the coming year as well as markets trends around the world.
As a follow-up to the Guide, George will chair a panel discussion at the Chambers’ Technology Summit in March 2023 with executives of technology companies and contributors to the Guide from different countries.
