Senior associate Edward Taylor (Hong Kong-International Arbitration) spoke at a seminar on the “Enforcement of Arbitral Awards Under the New York Convention” organized by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) on November 8, 2019 in Beijing, China as part of China Arbitration Week.

In a panel discussion, Edward compared and contrasted the enforcement process for arbitral awards under the New York and ICSID Conventions, including difficulties that enforcing parties may encounter. Edward also addressed the UNCITRAL Secretariat Guide on the New York Convention and the newyorkconvention1958.org website to which Shearman & Sterling has contributed.
