On September 24, our partners Alan Goudiss and Derrick Lott  led a discussion on “The Board’s Role in Improving M&A Deal Outcomes” with Emily Peterson Alva, Board member of Alkermes, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Atlanta Life Insurance Company and partners . The session discussed how directors should provide oversight of M&A transactions and work with management to achieve best deal outcomes. The panel also discussed how directors should approach sensitive transactions where one of the directors or a major shareholder may have a conflict.
