Shearman & Sterling sponsored the 2022 Africa Energy Forum (aef) held June 21–24 in Brussels under the theme “Africa for Africa: Building Energy for the Just Transition.” The forum brought together decision-makers in African energy to form partnerships, identify opportunities and move the industry forward.

Panelists from Actis, DEG, DNV GL and Scatec discussed Africa’s plans to become an export hub for green hydrogen, where green ammonias fit in, and how much African countries will actually score economically from investing in hydrogen, among other topics.
