Partner Barney Reynolds spoke on a panel at the FT Global Banking Summit 2022 titled “Thought-leaders’ panel: How will policymakers optimise standards whilst de-coupling financial services from European equivalence?” on November 30, 2022.

The panel discussed whether the U.K. government has been torn between the task of ensuring a free market through sensible deregulation, whilst at the same time protecting customers’ assets and maintaining standards in the post-Brexit landscape and will consider how does the U.K. government’s methods differ from European regulators.
