Shearman & Sterling advised IFC Asset Management Company, LLC (AMC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the International Finance Corporation, in the structuring and formation of IFC Catalyst Fund, LP, a $418 million private equity fund of funds focused on providing growth capital for companies delivering resource efficiency and low-emission products and services in emerging markets. The IFC Catalyst Fund has made four commitments to funds focused on climate-related investments, such as renewable energy, cleantech and industrial biotechnology, in Southeast Asia, China and Latin America. Shearman & Sterling also represents IFC Catalyst Fund on its investment activities.
