Shearman & Sterling represented SAP in its agreement to acquire Emarsys, a cloud-based omnichannel customer engagement platform.

The acquisition will enhance the SAP Customer Experience portfolio to enable companies to interact with customers through omnichannel engagements in real-time.

Based in Vienna, Austria, Emarsys enables companies to interact with customers through a range of channels from email to social media and serves 1,500 customers globally.
